Electronic Document Initialing

High-value contracts require certainty that the document being signed matches the terms agreed during negotiations. A company representative may therefore ask legal counsel to initial the contract before applying the final signature.

Electronic document initialing before final signature

AMODIT TrustCenter lets the people responsible for checking the agreed terms initial a document before the parties' representatives sign it. When sending an agreement for signature, the coordinator defines the order and each participant's role: signer, initialer or observer. An observer does not sign the agreement but receives notice when it is completed and gets a copy of the approved document. This role may be assigned to a finance director who needs the agreement immediately after signature.

AMODIT TrustCenter roles and signing order for an agreement

The agreement coordinator sets the signing order and assigns participant roles. The signature card shows who initialed the agreement and who signed it.
