Qualified Electronic Signatures Online

When selecting a solution for processing and signing agreements electronically, verify that it works with the qualified electronic signature products already used by process participants.

Available qualified electronic signature options

Several qualified electronic signature products are available in Poland from independent certified providers. The signing process varies by product.

The traditional configuration includes:

  • a cryptographic card containing the qualified certificate;
  • a card reader that connects the certificate card to a computer;
  • dedicated software for signing PDF documents.

Signing in this configuration requires connecting the card through its reader and confirming the signer's identity with a PIN.

The online option

Online qualified electronic signatures remove the physical card and reader. The provider's application or online portal generates a code that confirms the signer's identity and produces a formally valid qualified signature.

Signature compatibility in an electronic agreement process

AMODIT supports both forms of qualified electronic signature. Each party can use its existing product: a card and reader or an online qualified-signature service. This flexibility matters when a document must carry a qualified electronic signature.

Online qualified signing with AMODIT

To place a qualified electronic signature online on a document shared through AMODIT, a participant needs an active online certificate from a supported provider, the provider's identity-confirmation application and an AMODIT portal account. The portal allows users to process and sign up to 10 agreements per month without a fee.
