Extract Individual Pages From a Document

Incoming attachments sometimes combine several records in one file—for example, an agreement, an invoice, and supporting pages. AMODIT can separate selected pages so each document enters the correct workflow.

Page Extraction in AMODIT

The feature is available without modifying the existing process. It creates a new attachment from selected pages in three steps:

  1. Open the document options.
  2. Select Extract pages from document.
  3. Choose the pages to copy.

The Original File Remains Unchanged

AMODIT adds the extracted pages to the current case as a separate attachment. The original file is preserved; its pages are copied rather than removed.

Use the New File in a Workflow

The extracted document behaves like any other attachment. It can remain in the current case or trigger operations defined in a document rule.

For example, a supplier sends one scan containing an agreement and an invoice. The file enters the agreement workflow. During verification, an employee identifies the invoice pages. A configured document rule can send those extracted pages into the invoice workflow while preserving the original attachment.
