What are qualified one-time electronic signatures?

Qualified one-time electronic signatures are a modern form of digital signing that combines convenience, speed, and full legal compliance. They allow you to sign a single document online without the need to invest in a long-term certificate or go through complex procedures.

In terms of legal effect, a one-time signature has the same power as a traditional qualified electronic signature. The key difference lies in the simplified process — identity verification and certificate issuance happen within minutes, keeping formalities to a minimum.

This solution is especially valued in situations where a document needs to be signed quickly and just once — with no long-term commitments.

In what situations is a qualified one-time electronic signature useful?

Occasional Signatures

For companies whose employees or contractors occasionally sign important legal documents, contracts, or official applications — without the need to purchase a long-term certificate.

Remote Work

For employees working outside the company’s office who need to handle formal matters in an official and legally valid way.

Remote Contract Signing

For job candidates — both local and international — who sign employment contracts remotely.

High-Volume Recruitment

For organizations running large-scale recruitment processes, where collecting signed documents from multiple candidates needs to be fast and efficient.

Partner Collaboration

For companies with a network of distributors or business partners who regularly sign or update documents.

One-Time Clients

For businesses serving clients who need to sign a document only once — such as a consent form, declaration, or single-use agreement.

Benefits of a Qualified One-Time Electronic Signature

A qualified one-time electronic signature combines convenience with full legal compliance. It’s designed for individuals and businesses that need to sign documents quickly, remotely, and without long-term commitments.

Fast Setup

You can obtain a qualified one-time electronic signature in just a few minutes — no need to wait for deliveries or visit any office. The entire process is online, removing unnecessary formalities and saving valuable time.

Mobility

You can obtain a qualified one-time electronic signature from anywhere in the world — all you need is an internet connection. Whether you’re at the office, at home, or on vacation, you can sign documents in a fully official and legally valid way.

Legal Validity

A qualified one-time electronic signature is legally equivalent to both standard qualified electronic signatures and traditional handwritten ones. Documents signed this way hold full legal validity and are accepted by all institutions and authorities.

Cost Efficiency

A qualified one-time electronic signature is significantly more affordable than a standard qualified signature. It requires no investment in specialized hardware or long-term certificate subscriptions.

Flexibility

You can use this solution exactly when you need it — with no prior setup, long-term commitments, or subscriptions. It’s ideal for signing individual documents.

Convenient Verification

You can verify your identity quickly — either through a video call with an operator or on your own using a mobile app. Both methods are simple, intuitive, and comply with current security standards.

  • How does a one-time qualified electronic signature work in the TrustCenter system?

The process of obtaining and applying a qualified one-time electronic signature in the TrustCenter system has been designed to be as simple and intuitive as possible. Everything takes place online, with no need to install additional software or use specialized hardware.

    1. You receive a document to sign in the TrustCenter application and realize it requires a qualified signature, which you don’t currently have.
    2. You select the one-time qualified signature option, available directly within the system — no installation or equipment required.
    3. The system checks your electronic identity — if you’ve used our services before, the process will be even faster.
      • Electronic identity recognition – if the system recognizes you automatically, you can proceed directly to the next step.
      • Electronic identity creation – if this is your first document signed via AMODIT TrustCenter, you can choose between two convenient verification methods:
        • Verification with a consultant – a short 4–5 minute online session with a live operator, launched almost immediately.
        • Self-verification via mobile app – an intuitive process on your smartphone or tablet, guided step by step on screen.
    4. Authorization – certificate issuance – after successful identity verification (in compliance with eIDAS), the system will ask you to enter a code sent via SMS to confirm your intent to sign the document with a one-time certificate.
    5. Document signing – the document is signed using the generated qualified certificate, giving it full legal validity.

The entire process — from deciding to sign the document to receiving the fully signed file — takes on average just 7–8 minutes. That’s a major time-saver compared to traditional methods of obtaining a qualified signature, which can take several days.
