Vehicle Delivery Preparation Workflow

Manual vehicle-delivery records can be lost, replaced or copied incorrectly between departments. A structured workflow keeps order, customer, vehicle and preparation data in one controlled case.

An anonymous customer described a manual process in which several documents traveled from department to department for each vehicle. Papers could be lost or replaced, and key information such as the VIN or optional equipment could be copied incorrectly.

Benefits

The digital procedure stores all information in sections of one case. After an order number is selected, available data is imported from ERP, including customer details, vehicle information, equipment, warranty type and paint-finish version.

The Solution

The form shows payment status by comparing the order amount with payments recorded in ERP. This check determines whether the vehicle can be released.

The technical department completes the next sections, confirms equipment against the specification and performs the pre-delivery inspection before handing the vehicle to Sales. Each participant is named, making responsibility for every stage visible.

The vehicle is ready for delivery when all sections are complete and signed.
