Multi-Company Approval Matrix

Acquiring several companies introduces new decision makers, employees and approval paths. Each entity can have different needs in contracts, HR and finance, including a different purchase-invoice approval route. AMODIT can represent that approval matrix as a configurable workflow.

Map the Dependencies

A practical starting point is to draw the decision relationships and transfer them to a spreadsheet. The resulting matrix exposes the scale of dependencies between legal entities, stages and approvers.

A custom-coded matrix can become outdated before a long development project finishes. A configurable workflow lets authorized teams update routing rules as the organization changes.

Turn the Matrix Into Actions

In AMODIT, the spreadsheet logic becomes action buttons that send cases to the appropriate person and stage. Start by creating a Send for approval action on the form.

Choose the stage where the action appears, the target stage and the person or role that receives the case. Conditions determine when the button appears and which route applies.

Adapt as Companies Change

Additional operations can run after the user selects Send for approval. Each stage can present an action that routes the case according to the company and current stage.

One action per company and stage gives maximum separation. To simplify maintenance, several companies with the same rule can be grouped and handled by one action.

Company Name Changes

Identify a legal entity by its tax identifier rather than its name. This keeps rules stable when the company changes its registered name.

A New Route From a Specific Date

Remove the entity from its previous group and create the new approval route. The configurable matrix can be corrected without rebuilding the entire application.
